WWE The Music Volume 8 - ReviewI haven't purchased a WWE The Music CD since the Attitude Era, and then all I wanted it for was to use as entrances for my play fights with friends. Upon getting a copy of WWE The Music Volume 8, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable the tracks can be, as long as you forget about your views on what makes good music. This by no means will stand the test of time and be played years from now, but as a brief form of entertainment whilst browsing the internet or doing homework, it does its job.
The CD itself features the top entrances from all three brands including charming remixes of Jeff Hardy's new No More Words theme (including full vocals) Mr. McMahon's No Chance In Hell (revamped with a more heavy metal beat), Chris Jericho's Break The Walls Down and as far as I'm aware a complete new Mark Henry song entitled "The Wall." It will be interesting to see if he uses this on TV in the coming weeks. Other honorable mentions include the cult favorite "Biscuits & Gravy" which is somewhat of a throwback to the 70s and should please anyone with a passing interest in that era of rock (but don't go thinking it's on the same level as Lynrd Skynrd). The ECW on Sci-Fi theme song is also present. One track that is scarily catchy is Jillian Hall's "Sliced Bread", of course sang by herself. Now it's not quite Britney Spears, more Brooke Hogan, but turning this on full blast down the highway should give you many hours of laughs. One thing you'll notice is how different the songs sound on CD instead of on TV - it will open a whole new listening dimension that you may not get from hearing the tracks during WWE entrances. Especially where lyrics are concerned. Deciphering Kofi Kingston's track for example can be quite entertaining. Yes it's a mish mash of different music genres, yes it won't win any awards, but take it for what it is and you'll have a few hours of smiles. It just all depends on your bank balance.
