Pro Wrestling X (PC)

Before Pro Wrestling X was officially announced there was "Wrestling Gamers United," an initiative started by Dave Wishnowski and backed by angry wrestling fans who post 2002 were angry at the poor quality of mainstream wrestling games. They bombed email addresses, flooded message boards and generally created an online protest, but this wasn't enough. With no programming knowledge, no connections and little money Dave decided to make his own game with what the people wanted and thus Pro Wrestling X was born.

Dave worked extensively in trying to sort out a proper team of developers and within 5 long years a small crack team has been assembled and are working hard to make the dream a reality. Market research is completed and the design phase is in full swing, taking in to account all fan ideas. Several screen shots have been released on the Pro Wrestling X Website.

Since this is an independent game no "real world" wrestlers, arenas and copyrighted match types will be used in the game, but promotions will probably be losely based on a representation of the real world.

So far the game is set for a PC release leaving editing and mod options open to the hardcore gamers who helped in the beginning of the dream. No doubt there will be several unofficial real world modifications. An Xbox360 version is also in development in hope of a mainstream publisher coming on board.

A movement founded on behalf of gamers who refuse to settle for less, for whom the same old games repackaged every year with a few half-assed new bells and whistles just aren’t good enough. For fans and players who believe that the strength of a title isn’t blind faith in a license, but the heart that goes into making the best damned game possible. For gamers who have had enough of being taken for granted.
