John Cena More Popular In Guatemala Than The US

According to Google search engine statistics the amount of people that search for John Cena is much higher outside of the US. In fact despite its size the US is not even in the first top ten countries of “John Cena Searchers.” Heading up the rankings is Guatemala a small Spanish speaking country in Central America, followed by Serbia, Romania, Peru, Bulgaria, the Philippines, India, Portugal, Egypt and lastly New Zealand - perhaps the country that holds the most in common with the US out of the list.

The US however does make it on to the list of city specific searchers with the cities of Philadelphia and Miami ranking 8 and 9 respectively. The city that seems to be John Cena crazy is Lima, Peru.

Now it’s fair to say 50% of the modern world has a computer and its a proven fact that Google has more than a 70% share in the search engine market - so it would be fairly accurate to say that the majority of the “Chain Gang” don’t even speak English. I assume most of these countries get PPV or merchandise, so maybe Cena being on top is an even better business decision than many first thought.

As I’ve hammered home many times, WWE is a global business and they can afford to alienate its US fans if it means more money from foreign countries. A prime example is Khali getting the push he does and WWE’s recent search for more Hispanic stars. It’s quite probable that the folk of Guatemala were up in arms when John Cena nearly got murdered by JBL on Raw and bought right in to it.
